Video
Ministry Purpose
Your role is to help lead the congregation in worship each week at 24 Church through operating computers, lights, and the sound system. This is an essential part of worship service at 24 and helps create an environment where people can worship God fully and experience a deeper relationship with him.
Requirements
- We ask that you serve 1-4 times per month.
- For the safety of all children, complete and pass a volunteer
background check (we only check for sexually related crimes).
- Each service role requires a certain level of technical expertise but
current operator/volunteers will be happy to train interested
volunteers.
- Punctuality and accuracy are essential requirements for this
position.
Service Expectations
- All technology ministry volunteers must have a heart for worship
and a desire to lead others in worship.
- Volunteers will be expected to attend worship band practice each
Thursday night at 7pm and to be at church on Sunday Morning at
8:00 am for the week that they serve. Pray! Pray! Pray! Pray
individually for the pastor, the band, the congregation. and for the
other volunteers working with you.
Sound
- Head Sound Engineer
- Recruits volunteers
- Assigns members of the sound team each weekend.
- Manages and leads the sound team towards the individual team
duties and goals:
Sound Engineers
- Operates the mixer
- Works with the Worship Pastor and the band to create the house
mix and individual monitor mixes
- Responsible for recording the service(s)
- Controls the audio feeds to the Lobby and Cry Room
- Ensures both remote systems are working propery
Lighting
- Head Lighting Director
- Recruits volunteers
- Assigns members of the lighting team each weekend
- Manages and leads the lighting team towards the individual team
duties and goals:
Lighting Team
- Operating the lighting controller
- Practicing with the band and working with the Worship Pastor to
set the mood for each song
- Working with the video operator to coordinate light colors with
video backgrounds
- Controls house lights before, after and between services.
Video
- Head Video Operator
- Recruits volunteers
- Assigns members of the video team each weekend
- Manages and leads the video team towards the individual team
duties and goals:
Video Team
- Operates the video computer
- Practices with the band and works with the Worship pastor to
prepare lyrics and backgrounds for each song
- Works with the Speaker to prepare scripture and other elements for
the sermon
- Works with the Technical Director and Video Creator to prepare
announcements to play before, after and between services
- Starts countdown before each service
- Works with the lighting director to coordinate light colors with
video backgrounds.
All Positions
- Report concerns or ideas for improvement to the Ministry Team
Leader.
- Attend occasional Team meetings.
- If you will be unable to serve your assigned shift, please give ample
notice to your Team Leader.
