Ministry Purpose
Your role in the security ministry is to ensure that the children that visit 24 Church are safe, secure and protected while in our care at all times. Security ministry volunteers must be steadfast in their duties, adhering to prescribed policies and guidelines while being a pleasant representation of the church.

Requirements
- We ask that you serve 1-4 times per month and attend church

  during the opposite service.
- For the safety of all children, complete and pass a volunteer

background check (we only check for sexually related crimes).

Service Expectations
- Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled service time to check in and

  receive your volunteer badge.
- Pray! Pray! Pray! Pray for your fellow volunteers, the children you

are protecting and the parents of those children.

Kid’s Check-In & Hall Monitor
- Each service will have 2 kid’s check-in volunteers. After service

has started, the two will continue to serve in the following manner:
- One volunteer will act as the Hall Monitor by staying in the back

hall to ensure that only those persons with either a volunteer badge

or a child’s sticker and pager are allowed beyond the table. During

  this time, additional responsibilities include:

      - Acting as a 2nd accountability volunteer while young children

use the restroom. (The small bathroom doors are to remain open

        at all times)
      - Carry a walkie to call to check-in desk volunteer when a parent

        needs to be paged
     -  This volunteer is NOT the check-out volunteer
one volunteer will remain at the check-in table for any late

comers and for those very early for the next service. This

volunteer will move to relieve the Hall Monitor and attend to

check-out when the service is about to end. Only when all

pagers for that service have been collected are you relieved.

Volunteer Check-In
- The volunteer check-in volunteer ensures that only scheduled

volunteers are assigned a badge. A log will be kept of all volunteers

as badges are assigned. The volunteer check-in also receives and

logs as returned all badges at the end of the service.
- All issues congregants may have regarding their access to our

hallways and our children should be quickly and efficiently

resolved by yourself or referred over to our Security Officer or a

  member of the staff.
- Report concerns or ideas for improvement to the Ministry Team

  Leader.
- Attend occasional Team meetings.
- If you will be unable to serve your assigned shift, please give ample

  notice to your Team Leader.

Protecting our Future
Our children are our most precious asset and their safety should be treated as such. Being a security volunteer will be a delicate balance of enforcement and fellowship. Never should anyone be spoken to harshly or without the utmost respect. This is a very visible position giving you the greatest opportunity to share the love of God!
