Ministry Purpose
Our Guest Services Ministry helps provide a welcoming environment to visitors and members who attend 24church each week.  This is an essential ministry because a good first impression goes a long way.  Our Guest Services Team helps set the tone for the entire worship experience at church.

Requirements
- We ask that you serve 1-4 times per month and attend church

  during the opposite service.
- For the safety of all children, complete and pass a volunteer

background check (we only check for sexually related crimes).
- Possess an hospitable attitude and an open and energetic

  personality.
- Be willing to “put yourself out there” to meet and greet people you

  don’t know.

Service Expectations

- Arrive 30 minutes before scheduled service time to:
     - check in and receive your volunteer badge
     - pray that you will make an impact that morning for God’s

       Kingdom

     - report to assigned area(s)

- Pray! Pray! Pray! Pray for the people you greet – for their spiritual

growth, for them to plug into a church home, for them to build

strong relationships with other believers. Pray that they would feel

  welcome at our church.
- Report concerns or ideas for improvement to the Ministry Team

  Leader.
- Attend occasional Team meetings.
- If you will be unable to serve your assigned shift, please give ample

  notice to your Team Leader.

Interacting with folks
- Give a warm welcome, saying for example, “Good morning, we’re

so glad to see you this morning.”
- If new parents have children, escort to them to the Kid’s Check-In

area, and to their assigned classes.
- Strike up a conversation with people. You could talk about the

weather, coffee, music, work, hobby… Look for commonalities, or

something that can help you connect.
- Connect visitors with regular attendees. For example, if you see a

new family with teenagers, offer to introduce them to another

family with children of similar ages. If someone mentions that they

enjoy cars or motorcycles, introduce them to someone on the Motor

  Team.
- Always smile, (even if you are tired.)
